A creative evening dedicated to Nizami Ganjavi was held in Ashgabat

The evening dedicated to Nizami Ganjavi, one of the greatest poets and thinkers of the medieval East, was held at the Cultural Center of the Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Ashgabat.

According to CentralAsia.news, the event was organized by the Iranian Embassy and the Dovletmammet Azadi Turkmen National Institute of World Languages.

In his speech, Advisor on Cultural Affairs of the Iranian Embassy Navid Rasuli noted the enormous contribution of Nizami Ganjavi to the development of Persian poetry and world literature. He also emphasized the influence of

Nizami’s work on the development of the Turkmen classical poet Magtymguly Fragi: in the works of both poets one can see the similarity of views in love for the Motherland and their people.

The fraternal peoples of the two countries are heirs of common spiritual wealth, concluded Navid Rasuli.

The poet and thinker Nizami Ganjavi, who lived and worked in the XII century, left for posterity the immortal poems “Leyli and Majnun”, “Hosrow and Shirin”, “Seven Beauties”, “Treasury of Secrets”, “Iskander-name” and many other works.
