A meeting of the Turkmen-Italian working group on cultural cooperation was held

The 1st meeting of the Turkmen-Italian working group on cultural cooperation was held online on April 21, which became a logical continuation of the October meeting of the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Turkmenistan to the Italian Republic Toyly Komekov with the diplomatic adviser to the Minister of Culture of Italy Paolo Toschi.

Representatives of the Ministry of Cultural Heritage, Cultural Activities and Tourism of Italy headed by Deputy Minister of Culture Virto D’Adamo participated in the meeting from the Italian side.

Turkmenistan was represented by heads and employees of cultural and public institutions; the Deputy Minister of Culture of the country headed the Turkmen side.

The topic of the meeting was the discussion of issues of Turkmen-Italian cooperation in the field of cultural and science within the framework of UNESCO programs for the preservation of historical and cultural heritage sites, exchange of experience in archiving, restoration and conservation of works of art and cultural heritage sites.

Also, proposals on holding online seminars and trainings for archaeologists and restores, master classes for vocalists and performing musicians on folk instruments of Turkmenistan and Italy, and exhibitions of Turkmen exhibits of the Bronze Age, Margiana and Ancient Parthia in one of the Italian museums were announced.
