A meeting was held between the Ambassador of Turkmenistan to Georgia and the rector of Sukhumi State University

The Ambassador of Turkmenistan to Georgia Dovletmyrat Seyitmammedov on Monday met with the rector of Sukhumi State University Z. Khonelidze.

According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan, the parties discussed current issues of scientific and humanitarian cooperation, establishing direct contacts between universities of the two countries, and exchanging professional experience.

The Ambassador spoke about major events in honor of the 300th anniversary of Magtymguly Fragi, emphasizing that they will contribute to further study and widespread popularization in the world of the rich literary heritage of the great Turkmen poet-philosopher.

In turn, Zurab Khonelidze noted the great opportunities for expanding and intensifying effective Turkmen-Georgian cooperation in the field of science and education.
