In the new academic year, a new course in the field of "social work" will be opened at the Turkmen State University named after Magtymguly, for which 10 people will be recruited for training. This was reported in today's issue of the newspaper "Turkmenistan".
The opening of this course at TSU is the result of the joint program “Improving the social protection system through the introduction of inclusive quality social services at the local level”, which has been implemented by the Government of Turkmenistan and UN agencies since 2020.
Specialists in social work, who will be trained by TSU in the future, will have professional skills that meet international standards.
Graduates of this course will be able to work in state systems of labor and social protection, education, healthcare, the Ministry of Internal Affairs, local executive authorities, as well as in public organizations, enterprises and organizations as social work specialists, teachers and educational psychologists.
