A practical calligraphy lesson was held at an Ashgabat school

Yesterday, Ashgabat secondary school № 140 held a practical lesson in calligraphy (“shodo”), conducted by employees of the Japanese Embassy in Turkmenistan.

School № 140 specializes in studying the Japanese language, and for all students this was the first experience of calligraphy.

According to the press service of the Japanese Embassy, the children managed to very beautifully write the hieroglyph “tomo”, which means “friend”.
