A section of an expressway collapses in China: 31 people are hospitalized

On May 1, a collapse occurred on the Maida Expressway in Guangdong Province in southern China.

The incident occurred around 2:10 am local time. As a result of the collapse, 18 cars were trapped under the rubble.

As a result of the incident, 19 people died. 31 people were injured and were hospitalized.

Rescue operations are underway at the scene. Traffic on the highway is blocked. Experts are investigating the causes of the collapse. Xinhua reports this.
