A week of Russian language and literature is being held at the International University of Oil and Gas named after Yagshygeldi Kakaev, reports the publication “Turkmenistan: The Golden Age”.

Within the framework of the Week a competition of wall newspapers on the topic “Russian language is the language of peace and friendship” will be held as well as brain-ring, a theatrical reading of poems of Russian poets.
Ogulniyaz Annataganova, a lecturer at the university, notes that “The aim of this event is to accustom the young people to study the Russian language, to acquaint with Russian culture, literature and science”.
