“About Love...”: Rasul Klychev and Turkmen Stars Present New Program

Last Saturday evening, the Youth Chamber Orchestra led by Rasul Klychev gave a concert at the Culture and Business Center of the Oil and Gas Complex. Performed to a packed audience, it was a great success.

With St. Valentine’s Day marked the day before, the evening of music was a celebration of love, those who love and those who are loved. That is why every performance was filled with strong feelings…

Actors Vasily Andronov and Anush Potarak, who compered the concert, began a poetic prologue with the words - “If you have ever loved, then the concert is for you”.

“Everything begins with love…

It was the word at first, they say

But I will pray

That everything begins with love…”

The evening of music opened with the lines from a poem by Robert Rozhdestvensky. Then, the listeners were treated to romantic soundtracks to the hit movies Ghost’, Léon’, Winter Tango’, and Carnival’.

Alexander Kochetov and Nury Nuryev sang Ed Sheeran’s song Perfect’ in an original way. Their premiere rendition was enthusiastically received by the audience.

Leili Okdirova performed Chary Nurymov’s song About Love’.Together with Nury Nuryev the singer also sang You Will Always Be Here’.Maysa Niyazova, who has a beautifully rich voice and vocal jazz talent, sang songs from the repertoire of famous singer Mireille Mathieu in French, English and Spanish.

Dazzling guitar solos by Yusup Ismailov added sensibility and charm to the evening of music.

Well-known dancers Alexander Sisekin and Valeriya Nepomnyashchaya managed to communicate their feelings through the expressive, metaphorical language of dance, and graceful movements full of meaning. Svetlana Cherttsova, who performed as Harlequin, vividly conveyed the suffering and passion reflected in Ludwig van Beethoven’s The Moonlight Sonata’ dedicated to Giulietta Guicciardi, who did not return the composer’s love.

Gypsy Dance’, an extremely passionate and intensely emotional piece of music, brought the concert to a spectacular close. The Orchestra’s amazing and virtuoso performance captivated the audience who were unwilling to let the musicians leave the stage. And the hit loved by many generations was played as an encore.

Members of the audience shared their impressions of the concert in brief interviews.
