AFC will support Saudi Arabia's proposal to host the 2034 World Cup

The head of the Asian Football Confederation, Shaikh Salman bin Ibrahim Al Khalifa, on behalf of all members of the AFC Association, expressed a desire to support Saudi Arabia's proposal to host the 2034 World Cup. He stated this during the organization’s extraordinary congress, reports the UzA agency.

Let us note that during the extraordinary congress of the AFC, which was attended by representatives of the Football Federation of Turkmenistan, FIFA President Gianni Infantino and the head of the AFC Shaikh Salman bin Ibrahim Al Khalifa highly appreciated the ongoing FIFA activities on the Asian continent.

Let us remind that in 2023, Indonesia will host the World Junior Championship, Saudi Arabia will host the Club World Cup, the UAE will host the World Beach Soccer Championship, and in 2024, Uzbekistan will host the Futsal World Championship.

In addition, the congress participants considered issues on the audit report for 2022, the financial budget for 2023-2024 and the election of new members of the AFC in legal areas.

Earlier, Turkmenportal wrote that Saudi Arabia’s bid to host the 2034 World Cup will be supported by the Football Federation of Turkmenistan.
