Afghanistan Starts Exporting Products to Turkey Over Aqina Dry Port

Afghanistan has for the first time exported goods to Turkey over land through Aqina dry port in northern Faryab province, Ariana news agency reported on Wednesday.

A convoy of trucks will travel overland through Turkmenistan and Iran to reach Turkey, the Minister of Transport and Civil Aviation of Afghanistan said in a statement.

According to the report, Afghanistan’s domestic transport companies are handling the logistics.

Afghanistan's railway network is currently connected to Turkmenistan's railway system through two border points, Turghundi and Aqina.
