A meeting of representatives of the diplomatic corps, the tourism industry, and the media was held at the Turkish Cultural Center in the capital of Turkmenistan as part of the opening of Tourism Week of Türkiye.
The official part of the event was opened by the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Türkiye to Turkmenistan, Ahmet Demirok.In his welcoming speech, the head of the diplomatic mission emphasized the uniqueness of Türkiye as a global tourism hub.
Thanks to its advantageous geographical location, mild climate, and exceptionally rich historical heritage, the country remains in demand among travelers all year round, offering diverse types of leisure in all four seasons.
Ahmet Demirok paid special attention to the social significance of tourism. “Tourism plays an important role in bringing different cultures closer together and building bridges of friendship.It is also one of the leading sectors of the economy in many countries, including fraternal Turkmenistan,” the Ambassador noted.
In this context, Ahmet Demirok emphasized that Türkiye has traditionally been a priority destination for citizens of Turkmenistan as well.In this regard, on the eve of the summer holiday season, the diplomatic mission of Ankara is ready to provide comprehensive support to Turkmen brothers in organizing their tourist trips, the diplomat added.
