American scientists sent into space an invitation to aliens to visit Earth

American scientists from the city of Lexington in Kentucky sent an advertisement into space for aliens calling on them to visit Earth as tourists. The ad was encoded in the form of an image of the hilly landscape of Kentucky, figures of people and horses, as well as diagrams of the molecules of water, dopamine and ethyl alcohol, AiF writes with reference to Space.com.

The signal was sent using an infrared laser to the TRAPPIST-1 star system, located 40 light years or 378 trillion kilometers from Earth.
