The ecological action on the shores of Lake Geokdepe was carried out by the Delegation of the European Union in Turkmenistan and the country's Nature Conservation Society. This was reported by "Turkmenistan: Golden Age".
This action is part of the global “EUBeachCleanup” campaign to protect the ocean and raise public awareness.
40 people of eco-activists who took part in the action united the goal of demonstrating the importance of respect for nature, creating a model of environmental behavior among the local population.
The plastic waste collected during the action was sent for recycling to local companies, the source said.
