An event dedicated to Korean writing was held in Ashgabat

On October 7, an event dedicated to the day of the creation of the Korean alphabet - Hangul Day - was held at the Korean Educational Center named after King Sejong in Ashgabat.

About 50 students of the center of different ages and levels of proficiency in the Korean language competed at the Korean calligraphy competition.

Based on the results of the event, the best works in the Hangul technique performed by the participants were selected.

The winners were awarded with traditional gifts from Korea. The event was held with the aim of popularizing the Korean language and culture in Turkmenistan.

Let us remind that the Korean Educational Center opened in Ashgabat in October 2019 on the basis of the Turkmen National Institute of World Languages.

The center was created by the government of the Republic of Korea in 2005 to spread the Korean language and culture in other countries. Today, similar centers operate in 60 countries. The headquarters is located in Seoul.
