An expert from Georgia noted the quality of the new section of the Ashgabat-Turkmenabat highway

Representative of “Georgian Railway” JSC to the OSJD, specialist in the field of transport Zurab Kozmava highly appreciated the quality of the recently opened new section of the Ashgabat-Turkmenabat highway in Turkmenistan.

The Georgian expert directly participated in the opening ceremony of the second stage of the high-speed highway and noted that the highway is indeed a classic world highway, and certification by international institutions at the expert level proves the excellent quality of the road. This was reported by the “Voice of the CIS” publication.

“We had the opportunity to look and make sure that everything at the facility was done to the highest standard, both in terms of traffic safety and road surface coating.

This is another real step that opens the door for Turkmenistan to integrate into the Euro-Asian road system, thereby creating fundamental preconditions for the development of transit potential”, - noted Z.

Kozmava.

He also emphasized the interest of the Georgian side in increasing transport partnership with Turkmenistan.

“Currently, work is actively underway to build transport bridges. The countries of our region, including Azerbaijan and Georgia, are very interested in developing cooperation with Turkmenistan and creating an additional network.

Diversification of these directions will create closer interconnectedness and significantly increase the dynamics of cargo flow”, - said the Georgian specialist.

Let us remind that the second stage of the Ashgabat-Turkmenabat high-speed highway was launched on April 17.
