On 29 August President Gurbanguly Berdymukhammedov held a meeting with the advisor overseeing oil and gas Yagshigeldy Kakayev and ARETI CEO Igor Makarov.
In the course of the meeting Kakayev put forward a proposal to appoint Makarov a special expert under the advisor overseeing oil and gas. Berdymukhammedov approved the proposal.
“I am pleased to note the long-term collaboration with the holding [ARETI], which is a long-standing business partner of our country”, the state information agency TDH quotes the President.
According to the media outlet, “Makarov assured that he will make every effort to justify trust and make a sizeable contribution to the well-being of Turkmenistan, where he was born”.
