The “Arkadag” football club held its first control match in preparation for the new season of the Turkmenistan Championship 2024. The game was held in Antalya, Türkiye, where the team arrived for a training camp, reports the Football Federation of Turkmenistan.
In the match against North Macedonian “Vardar”, head coach Vladimir Bayramov’s team won with a score of 1:0. The only goal was scored by striker Altymurat Annadurdyev.
“Arkadag” was founded in April last year and immediately achieved impressive success in the domestic arena - it won gold medals in the championship and the Turkmenistan Cup ahead of schedule. In the national championship, the team won all 24 victories, and in the Cup final they defeated “Ahal” with a score of 3:0.
This year, “Arkadag” is preparing to defend the championship title. The start of the new season of the Turkmenistan football championship among Major League clubs is scheduled for March 4.
