Preparations for the upcoming Turkmen Carpet Holiday were discussed at a regular meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers held by the President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov via the digital system.
Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers N.Atagulyev delivered a report on the planned celebrations.As part of the festive events, the capital will host an exhibition of carpets and carpet products, as well as the 26th meeting of the World Association of Turkmen Carpet Connoisseurs.
Renowned foreign carpet experts, scholars, specialists, and representatives of relevant companies from various countries around the world will take part in the Association’s activities.The celebration program will also include the thematic conferences “Arşyň nepisligi” and “Janly rowaýat.” One of the central events will be the ceremony honoring female carpet weavers who have been awarded the honorary title “Türkmenistanyň at gazanan halyçysy,” scheduled to take place at the National Museum of Turkmen Carpet.
President Serdar Berdimuhamedov emphasized the profound significance of the national art of carpet weaving and instructed the Deputy Prime Minister to ensure a high organizational standard for all planned festive events.
