Ashgabat, Kiev mull prospects for partnership on migration

The representatives of the Turkmen State Migration Service met with Ukrainian Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador Valentin Shevalev, the Turkmen State Migration Service said in a message March 3.

According to the message, the sides exchanged views on the prospects for partnership of countries in the field of migration.

The sides expressed confidence that cooperation between the two countries will continue to develop dynamically, the message said.

Turkmenistan is an important trade and economic partner of Ukraine in Central Asia, said a message posted on the website of the Ukrainian embassy in Ashgabat.

Ukrainian business entities are involved in the construction of large-scale infrastructure facilities, complex engineering communications, oil and gas, industrial and transport facilities in Turkmenistan, export various products to Turkmenistan and render services.

Ukraine exports railway cars, agro-industrial products, electrical machines, chemicals, pharmaceutical and woodworking products to Turkmenistan.

The oil refining products, wool, cotton, textiles are mainly imported from Turkmenistan to Ukraine.
