A ceremony marking the opening of 78 two-story cottage residential houses with five rooms was held Monday in the Choganly residential complex of Bagtyyarlyk district in Ashgabat on the occasion of Ashgabat City Day, along with five-story apartment buildings with 60 and 80 apartments in the 8th residential district of Berkararlyk district, Turkmenistan’s official media reported.
The celebrations were attended by respected elders, mothers, representatives of the Ashgabat and district municipalities, public organizations, media outlets, residents and students.
According to the report, the opening ceremonies featured musical and dance performances by cultural and artistic groups, as well as children’s creative ensembles. National housewarming traditions were also observed during the event.
Families receiving new apartments and houses were ceremonially presented with keys. Participants also viewed the living conditions and modern amenities created in the new residential buildings.
As part of festivities dedicated to Ashgabat City Day, builders who distinguished themselves in the construction of the new residential facilities received valuable gifts on behalf of the President of Turkmenistan.
