On 17 November Deputy Chairperson of Cabinet of Ministers Dadebai Amangeldiev overseeing construction, power engineering, public utilities and the city of Ashgabat made a progress report on the construction project to build a residential complex located in Abadan etrap.
The new residential district will accommodate apartment blocks, a school, a kindergarten and a shopping centre. The state information agency TDH reports that the works are envisaged to be carried out in two stages within the next five years.
President Gurbanguly Berdymukhemamedov highlighted “the importance of exercising control over the new construction projects” and issued a severe reprimand with a final warning to Dadebai Amangeldiev for poor performance of job responsibilities.
It should be pointed out that in early September the President appointed Deputy Prime Ministers as supervisors responsible for the country’s provinces. Dadebai Amangeldiev was appointed as the Ashgabat supervisor.
