Asian Sambo Championship in 2023 will be held in Kazakhstan

The Asian Championship and the Asian Youth Sambo Championship in 2023 will be held in Kazakhstan, reports the official website FIAS.

Delegates of the Congress of the Sambo Union of Asia (SUA) voted for the application of the Kazakhstan Federation of Sports and Combat Sambo, which was held on June 1 in Lebanon.

The representatives of Australia, Bangladesh, Bahrain, Hong Kong, India, Jordan, Iraq, Iran, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Lebanon, Maldives, Mongolia, Nepal, New Zealand, Pakistan, Palestine, Saudi Arabia, Singapore, Syria, Thailand, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan, Philippines, Sri Lanka, Japan participated in the event.

Also, the participants of the Congress unanimously supported the inclusion of the national Sambo federations of Australia and New Zealand into the Sambo Union of Asia. They were granted the status of permanent members of the organization.
