The international festival of contemporary ethnic music The Spirit of Astana starts today in Astana, writes the “Kazakhstanskaya Pravda” newspaper with reference to the website of the capital's akimat.
To participate in the event, the best ethnic music performers from different countries arrived in the capital of Kazakhstan - Abbos (Uzbekistan), Bint El Funk (Israel), Kerekes Band (Hungary), Mgzavrebi (Georgia). The well-known Kazakh band Turan and DJ Puza also take part in the festival.
The performances of the artists will begin at 17:00 local time at the EXPO summer open-air venue. At present time, master classes in folk crafts and pottery are held here, guests are treated to dishes of Kazakh national cuisine. A little later, it will be possible to take part in competitions in national games.
The last time a similar festival was held in Astana in 2017.
