Astrakhan University seeks to attract more students from Turkmenistan to study

Currently, 220 students from Turkmenistan are studying at the Astrakhan State Technical University (ASTU).

The university plans to expand its partnership with Turkmenistan, thereby attracting more and more students from this country, according to the ASTU website.

The other day there was a meeting between the management of ASTU and the Consul of Turkmenistan in Astrakhan Gadam Ilamanov. During the meeting, areas for further cooperation were identified, including academic mobility, fisheries and the oil and gas industry.

Turkmenistan is a long-time partner of the Astrakhan State Technical University, and joint efforts in the field of vocational education open up new opportunities for students and teachers in both countries.

The rector of ASTU Invited the leadership of universities of Turkmenistan to take part in the next General Assembly of the Association of Universities and Research Centers of the Caspian Countries. Turkmen students also received an invitation to participate in the upcoming Caspian Games Universiade, the source notes.

ASTU is the largest scientific and educational complex with a developed industrial, scientific and social infrastructure. The university has great capabilities in training qualified personnel, which makes it attractive to foreign students.
