Austrian Businesses Interested in Participating in Turkmen Projects

Board members of the Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs of Turkmenistan (UIET) on Tuesday held an online meeting with the representatives of the Federation of Austrian Industries, in which the Austrian side expressed its interest in participating in projects in Turkmenistan.

The Austrian side was represented by the head of the Federation Georg Knell. the head of the Trade Office of the UIET in Vienna also attended the meeting, the UIET said in its press release.

During the online talks, members of the Federation of Austrian Industrialists announced their desire to visit Turkmenistan as soon as the situation with the pandemic is resolved and meet with relevant high-level representatives and discuss specific details of joint projects.

The Austrian side also briefed about the Federation, which represent the interests of more than 4.5 thousand companies in such sectors of the economy as manufacturing, banking, infrastructure, and industry-oriented services.

In April 2021, The Halal Dogan Individual Enterprise located in Mary velayat, with the assistance of the Vienna office of the UIET, exported Turkmen tomatoes to Vienna.
