The film "Barbie" by Greta Gerwig topped the world's top-grossing releases in the history of Warner Bros over the weekend, RBC reported.

The film earned 18,2 USD million over the weekend, breaking the record previously held by Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows 2 in 2011. The total figure of the box office "Barbie" in 75 countries is already 1 billion 34 million dollars.

Barbie also became the highest-grossing debut of 2023, surpassing Super Mario Bros. Movie to gross 155 million USD on its first weekend in April.

Christopher Nolan's biopic Oppenheimer, about the creator of the world's first atomic bomb, has already earned $777 million worldwide, with $29.1 million in screenings in 82 countries over the past weekend.
