Belli Creative Launches New Turkmen Font Pyragy on Myfonts Platform

Ashgabat-based Belli Creative design studio has launched a new font Pyragy on digital fonts distributor Myfonts.

The newly created Pyragy font is the third development by Belli Creative in this area. Previously, the studio created Aşgabat2017 and Garagum fonts, the design studio told Business Turkmenistan on Thursday.

Dovletmyrat Babayev, a specialist of Belli Creative studio, said the new font was named "Pyragy" in honor of the 300th anniversary of Magtymguly Pyragy. The creative team of the design studio worked on the project for around three months.

The new font, like the previously created Garagum, is a display typeface. This font can be used not only in conventional texts, but also in headlines and other specialized texts.

Belli Creative specialist said the new Pyragy font is intended for artistic style texts, adding that during its development the studio paid special attention to the design of the letters and their harmony with each other.

“Therefore, it will be more appropriate to use this font in headlines related to literature, cinema, music, art, and theater posters, as well as in advertisements,” Dovletmyrat Babayev stated.

Anyone can download the new font online at at a price of $9.

Myfonts platform is one of the largest font hosting sites, with more than 230,000 fonts currently available.
