An international exhibition dedicated to the 25th anniversary of Turkmenistan's permanent neutrality is opening in Ashgabat today. On this occasion, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov addressed its participants with a welcome message, which, in particular, reads:
"I cordially congratulate you on the start of the international exhibition dedicated to the celebration of the 25th anniversary of permanent neutrality of Turkmenistan! I wish great success to the forum dedicated to permanent neutrality-the guarantor of peace and prosperity of the Motherland!
The large-scale exhibition and upcoming events organized in the year under the slogan "Turkmenistan is the birthplace of Neutrality" demonstrate the great support of the international community for the initiatives of neutral Turkmenistan aimed at ensuring the well-being of the States of the region and the world.
Our country has confidently taken its place among the harmoniously developing countries, which confirms the steady growth of its international authority, the huge success achieved in the national economy and social sphere as a result of peaceful creative work based on advanced technologies.
The neutrality of Turkmenistan is a continuation of the original national traditions of the Turkmen people, a solid foundation of our statehood, a reliable guarantor of a peaceful and happy life.
Over 25 years of neutral development, our sovereign state has achieved great success in partnership with reputable international structures, primarily the United Nations.The election of Turkmenistan a member of the Executive committees of the most important structures of the United Nations, the adoption of the historic UN Resolution to declare December 12 as the International day of neutrality, and at the suggestion of the Turkmen side a Resolution proclaiming 2021 the International year of peace and trust prove faithful to favorites our country the way greater cooperation in addressing the pressing issues of our time.
These documents, which correspond to the course of Turkmenistan's peaceful foreign policy aimed at ensuring security and sustainable development, further strengthen the role and authority of our independent neutral state as a reliable partner of the United Nations.
In the epoch of power and happiness loving, creative internal and external policy of the state, our great achievements in the interests of the country, people and humanity, successfully implemented international projects carried out radical reforms serve a great purpose all-round dynamic development of independent neutral Turkmenistan, the systematic increase in the standard of living of Turkmen citizens.
During the glorious 25 years of permanent neutrality, we have reached high milestones in the priority areas of state policy innovative development of the national economic complex, industrial diversification, strengthening the power of the national economy, systematically increasing the level of social protection of the population, and strengthening the country's place in the global economic space.
As a result of the successful implementation of the "Program of the President of Turkmenistan for socio-economic development of the country in 2019-2025", large-scale construction has been launched, modern enterprises that meet the requirements of the time are being put into operation, producing high-quality, environmentally safe, competitive products that are in high demand in foreign markets.
The result of all this is to strengthen the national economy and improve the social and living standards of the country's people.
The international exhibition, which is officially opening today, will be open for 12 days and will reflect the success and achievements of the national economy of sovereign Turkmenistan, which is celebrating the 25th anniversary of permanent neutrality.
The forum will also reflect the state's efforts to create a physically and spiritually developed, educated young generation in the current happy era.And, of course, visitors to the exhibition will be able to see the high standard of living of Turkmen citizens.
