Bitdeer Explores Data Center Opportunities in Turkmenistan

The CIET-2025 international conference and exhibition in Avaza has attracted companies representing the world’s most advanced and innovative economic sectors. Among the notable participants, Bitdeer Technologies Group, a global leader in blockchain technologies and high-performance computing, made its debut.

Housame Naimi, Partnerships and Business Development Director of Bitdeer, delivered a presentation at the event.

The main goal of Bitdeer’s participation and Naimi’s address was to showcase the potential of advanced digital solutions to enhance the efficiency and sustainability of Turkmenistan’s energy and industrial sectors.

Aligned with the conference theme, “Clean Energy. Sustainable Future,” Bitdeer, which operates large-scale data centers, expressed interest in exploring opportunities to establish high-tech computing centers in Turkmenistan, leveraging the country’s stable energy resources.

The company also offered its expertise in efficiently managing large energy capacities and integrating digital tools to optimize consumption.

Bitdeer’s presence at such a high-level forum is particularly valuable for Turkmenistan, as collaboration with the company could help diversify the economy beyond traditional sectors like construction and industry, extending into the digital economy and high-tech services.

Establishing large data centers could serve as an effective way to utilize the country’s surplus energy capacity while creating a new, high-margin digital industry.

Naimi’s presentation reflects the growing interest of global technology businesses in investing in Turkmenistan, which positions itself as a regional hub for smart construction and clean energy.
