Business Turkmenistan (BT) information service, which was launched on June 1, 2019, celebrates its 3-year anniversary.
Ashgabat-based Business Turkmenistan publishes news and information in Turkmen, English, Russian and Turkish languages. Its mobile applications are available both on Google Play and App Store.
On July 9, Business Turkmenistan became the first Turkmen website to rank among the world’s top 1000 sites, according to the Alexa Traffic Rank indicators of the same date. Alexa was a wholly owned subsidiary of the U.S.-based Amazon, which used to compile a rating of local and international websites around the world.
Business Turkmenistan connects local and international businesses and consumers to a dynamic network of news, information and ideas by accurately delivering business information, news and insights to audiences in Turkmenistan and around the world.
The BT also provides internet users with up-to-date quotes of the State Commodity and Raw Materials Exchange of Turkmenistan, regularly publishes vacancies available at companies operating in the country and tenders announced by private businesses and government agencies.
Official websites of government entities and international organizations frequently refer to the publications of Business Turkmenistan. International Trade Administration of the U.S. Department of Commerce lists Business Turkmenistan website as a news and information source in its Turkmenistan Commercial Guide. The Russian Ministry of Industry and Trade regularly cites the international tenders published on the BT website.
Local and foreign media, including The New York Times, Anadolu Agency and Trend News Agency also cite information from Business Turkmenistan.
Launched in 2019, Business Turkmenistan is a self-funding news and information website registered in Ashgabat as an open joint stock company. The company has been licensed by Türkmenaragatnaşyk (Turkmen Communications) Agency to carry out activities in Turkmenistan in the field of communications, including preparation and publication of news.
