The National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Khalk Maslakhaty of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, in his speech in Beijing at the high-level conference on interconnectivity within the framework of the Third International Forum "One Belt, One Road", emphasised that Turkmenistan, together with its partners, is currently creating an extensive network of transport and logistics infrastructure of a combined East-West and North-South type, which will include transit corridors to the regions of the Caspian Sea, the Black Sea basin and the Baltic States.
The Chairman of the Khalk Maslakhaty, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, emphasised the significance of bilateral cooperation concerning implementing major national projects in Turkmenistan's transport and communication sectors. These projects include establishing new port infrastructure on the Caspian Sea, as the official Turkmen media reported on Wednesday.
Chairman Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov highlighted the importance of creating a transport corridor that connects China through Central Asia to the Turkmen coast of the Caspian Sea, as well as to Iran and the Middle East, that indicates the focus on developing strategic transportation routes that enhance connectivity and promote regional trade and economic integration.
In Beijing, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, the national leader of the Turkmen people and chairman of the Khalk Maslahaty, highlighted the alignment between Turkmenistan's "Revival of the Great Silk Road" strategy and China's "One Belt, One Road " strategy. This pairing signifies Turkmenistan and China's mutual recognition and cooperation in promoting regional connectivity and economic development.
During the forum, the National Leader of the Turkmen people further discussed relevant matters about the demand for political logistics.
