At the annual gala ceremony of the Asian Football Confederation (AFC), held in the Qatari capital Doha, the Central Asian Football Association (CAFA) was recognized as the best regional Association of the year.
CAFA is the youngest regional association in the Asian Football Confederation. It includes the Football Federations of six countries: Turkmenistan, Tajikistan, Afghanistan, Iran, Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan.
Let us note that the vice-president of CAFA is the chairman of the Football Federation of Turkmenistan Arslan Aynazarov.
