China invites Venezuela to joint exploration of the moon

China has sent an invitation to Venezuela to take part in the joint project of the International Scientific Lunar Station, the Gazeta.ru agency reports, citing information from the Venezuelan Foreign Ministry.

The author of the "lunar project", the Deep Space Research Laboratory in China, emphasizes that Venezuela was the first country to receive such an offer from it.

Venezuela is ready to join the project, which is being implemented jointly by China and Russia. The head of the Venezuelan Space Activities Agency, Marglad Bencomo, following her visit to China, said that Venezuela is ready to sign a Memorandum of Understanding with China for the joint construction of the International Lunar Research Station.

China plans to have a lunar research station open as early as 2030.
