City Administration Created For New Provincial Center of Turkmenistan’s Ahal

President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov during an off-site government meeting at the construction site of the new administrative center of Ahal province on Thursday signed a Decree on establishing the Administration of the new provincial center.

According to the official Turkmen media, the document was signed in order to further improve the management in Ahal province.

In accordance with the document, the Administration of Ahal province, together with the Ministry of Justice and other relevant ministries, was instructed to prepare and submit to the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan a draft structure of the new provioncial center’s administration and proposals on its staffing.

During the meeting, the Head of State also signed a Decree on the appointment of Durdyliyev Shamuhammet as the Mayor of the new administrative center of Ahal province.

The new provincial center will include 2-, 5-, 7- and 9-storey residential buildings, which will house 12,324 families, kindergartens, schools and other specialized educational institutions, healthcare, cultural, commercial and service institutions, sports facilities, administrative buildings, as well as transport, communications and engineering systems.
