Correspondents of “Chronicles of Turkmenistan” report that in the past few years the price for a 1 liter bottle of Coca-Cola has skyrocketed from 3,5 to 10 manats.
Only 1 liter bottles are sold in the stores whereas 500 ml bottles have disappeared from the store counters.
Many restaurants and café temporarily suspended the purchase of beverages since after the mark-up a bottle is sold at 12 manats on the premises.
Let us recall that a similar price hike was recorded in early December 2017 when the company experienced difficulty with foreign currency conversion and importing drinks ingredients into Turkmenistan.
At that time the price for a 1 liter bottle soared from 3 to 8-9 manats.
