Consular Consultations Held in Ashgabat between Turkmenistan and the Republic of Kazakhstan

On 4 June 2026, regular consular consultations between the Foreign Ministries of Turkmenistan and the Republic of Kazakhstan were held at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan.About this reports MFA of Turkmenistan.

The Chief of the Consular Service Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan headed the Turkmen delegation, while the Kazakh delegation was led by the Director of the Consular Service Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

During the consultations, the parties discussed key issues of bilateral cooperation in the consular sphere.Particular attention was given to protecting the rights of citizens, enhancing consular cooperation, and certain aspects of international legal cooperation.

The participants also exchanged views on improving the legal and treaty framework and expanding practical cooperation between the relevant authorities.Following the meeting, the parties signed the relevant protocol and reaffirmed their readiness to further strengthen Turkmen-Kazakh cooperation in consular affairs.
