Festively decorated Ashgabat plunges into the fairy show of sparkling lights in evenings.The designers of the festive decorations presented many pleasant surprises, decorating the streets and park areas with garlands of illumination, original installations, flickering balls, snowflakes, and smiling Ayaz Baba, Garpamyk and fairytale heroes, led by the symbol of the coming year - a funny silver mouse in front of city buildings and on the dividing lawns of the city avenues.
This year, the city authorities together with the Union of Entrepreneurs and Industrialists of Turkmenistan have decided to hold a competition for the best New Year's decorations.The members of the Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs — individual enterprises, business entities, private companies — were invited to show their abilities.
And ...the streets, alleys, parks, territories adjacent to apartment houses in the city became the platforms for creativity and imagination of artists, light and landscape designers, decorators and leisure organizers.
In total, up to twenty theatrical, song, dance and entertainment venues were arranged in the city on the eve of the New Year.
The jury, including the representatives of state and public organizations, evaluated the originality of ideas, quality of works and non-trivial approaches. One of the main criteria in determining the winner is the popularity of the festive space among the citizens and guests of the capital.
The festive ceremony of awarding the winners took place in the Ashgbat Khyakimlik.
Closed Joint-Stock Company “Türkmen awtoban”, headed by Director General, Halapberdy Annaev won the first place. This company magnificently decorated the Avenue of Inspiration and organized a rich palette of events and pleasant surprises for its visitors.
The second prize was awarded to Director of the Individual Enterprise “Serpaý ussat hyzmatdaş” Berdimurat Nagmatov for decorating the park named after Magtymguly.
“Owadan ülke” Economic Society won the third place for organizational and design work in the Ashgabat Park. The prize was awarded to founder of HO Rovshan Bekmammedov.
Upon completion of the awarding ceremony, prominent Turkmen artists arranged a festive concert.
