Corporation "Ak Bars" plans to start the construction of the ships in Turkmenistan

The Russian Shipbuilding Corporation “Ak Bars” is ready to launch production of passenger and cargo civil ships in Turkmenistan, TASS reports with reference to the Corporation's General Director Renat Mistakhov.

"The “Ak Bars” Shipbuilding Corporation is ready to launch joint construction of both passenger and cargo civil ships in Turkmenistan," Mistakhov said, noting that a corresponding agreement was signed between the parties earlier.

According to Mistakhov, the Turkmen side suggested that “Ak Bars” Corporation jointly work out the issue of a cargo-passenger ferry and a container cargo ship. In response, the Corporation provided them with all the projects and developments.

It should be recalled that “Ak Bars” signed agreements on cooperation in the field of shipbuilding with the Agency “Turkmendenizderyayollary” and OJSC “Shipbuilding and repairing yard Balkan”.This happened in August 2019 during the Caspian economic forum in Avaza, which marked the beginning of a partnership in the field of ship construction for our country.

By 2025, in accordance with the seven-year program of socio-economic development of Turkmenistan, 12 vessels are planned to be built in our country.

AK bars shipbuilding Corporation was established on the basis of the “Ak Bars” holding company in the Republic of Tatarstan of the Russian Federation in 2018. The Corporation includes such enterprises as Zelenodolsk plant named after. Gorky, Zelenodolsk design Bureau, Kazan plant "Electropribor", "Ak Bars Metal". Main activities - design and production of ships and vessels, ship repair.
