Cotton Varieties from China Presented in Ashgabat

The Turkmen-Chinese Business Forum and its accompanying exhibition continue at the Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Ashgabat, where leading companies from China are showcasing their capabilities. As a global leader in cotton production, China places a high priority on developing high-yielding, early-maturing cotton varieties that are resistant to diseases and extreme climatic conditions.

At the exhibition in Ashgabat, Jinfengyuan Seed Industry, a company with more than 20 years of experience in the seed industry, presented several modern Chinese cotton varieties, including “Xinluzao 78,” “Xinluzhong 68,” and “J206-5.” These varieties have become widely cultivated in the Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Region.

They are distinguished by their high fiber uniformity and minimal impurity content, fully meeting the requirements of the modern textile industry and the standards of high-speed manufacturing equipment.

According to the company’s specialists, these varieties are being actively introduced under state programs aimed at modernizing cotton cultivation and have already shown positive results in Uzbekistan. The successful experience of this neighboring country could serve as a solid foundation for expanding the company’s activities in Turkmenistan.

During the current agricultural season, alongside traditional Turkmen cotton varieties, seeds from China’s Xinjiang region have been planted on a trial basis in Turkmenistan to evaluate their adaptability and yield potential under local conditions.

Jinfengyuan Seed Industry possesses an advanced biological breeding research system and state-of-the-art seed processing lines. With 40,000 hectares of land in China and Uzbekistan, the company has established a global sales network and is prepared to offer Turkmen partners a full range of technical services.

Participation in the Ashgabat forum opens significant opportunities for finding business partners and establishing direct contacts, thereby contributing to technological modernization and strengthening long-term cooperation between Turkmenistan and China in the agricultural sector.
