Justin Sun, a well-known entrepreneur and founder of a cryptocurrency platform, fulfilled his loud promise. He ate the famous banana an art object by Italian artist Maurizio Cattelan, sold for an impressive 6,24 million USD, URA.RU reports on its Telegram channel.
“It's much tastier than other bananas. Really, it's not bad”, - Sun said after biting into the fruit during a special press conference in Hong Kong, RIA Novosti reports.
The installation, titled “Comedian”, was initially estimated to sell for between 1 million and 1,5 million USD. However, the final price of the lot exceeded all expectations, becoming a shining example of the absurdity of contemporary art and the art market.
