Delegation of Turkmenistan participated in the International Participants Meeting of the “GREEN EXPO 2027 Yokohama” International Horticultural Exhibition

From 29 June to 1 July 2026, a Turkmen delegation headed by the Chairman of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Turkmenistan Mergen Gurdov was on a working visit to Japan.

About this reports MFA of Turkmenistan.The purpose of the visit was to participate in the International Participants Meeting organized as part of the preparations for the “GREEN EXPO 2027” International Horticultural Exhibition, which will be held in Yokohama, Japan, from 19 March to 26 September 2027.

Within the framework of the International Participants Meeting, the Turkmen delegation took part in plenary and panel sessions, meetings and technical visits devoted to participation in the exhibition, the organization and management of the national pavilion, logistics, the organization of Turkmenistan's National day and other organizational matters.

During the visit, meetings were held between the Chairman of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Turkmenistan and T.Suzuki, Executive Vice President of the Japan External Trade Organization (JETRO), as well as K.

Hachiyama, Deputy Secretary General of the Association of the “GREEN EXPO 2027” International Horticultural Exhibition.During the meetings, the parties discussed the further development of Turkmen-Japanese business cooperation, the organization of the Turkmen-Japanese Business Forum in Tokyo in 2027 with the participation of small and medium-sized enterprises, as well as matters related to Turkmenistan’s participation in the “GREEN EXPO 2027” International Horticultural Exhibition.
