The delegation of Turkmenistan participated in the 33rd Annual Session of the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly, held from 4 to 8 July 2026 in The Hague, Kingdom of the Netherlands.
About this reports MFA of Turkmenistan.During the Annual Session, the delegation also took part in a side event “Parliamentary Dialogue of Central Asian Countries as a Mechanism for Strengthening Confidence and Security in the OSCE Region and Beyond” dedicated to strengthening parliamentary dialogue and regional co-operation.
In the course of the side event, the Delegation presented the position of Turkmenistan on the importance of expanding parliamentary interaction as an effective mechanism for promoting constructive international dialogue, mutual understanding and cooperation on issues of common interest.
Within the framework of the Annual Session, a meeting was held with the President of the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly, Pere Joan Pons Sampietro.During the meeting, the parties exchanged views on the current state and future prospects of cooperation between Turkmenistan and the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly.
Particular attention was paid to the importance of the consistent organization of Ashgabat international conferences, which serve as an effective platform for promoting dialogue, confidence-building and the exchange of parliamentary experience.
During the meeting, considering the growing dynamics of regional cooperation in Central Asia, a comprehensive regional approach to advancing collaboration with the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly was also discussed.
