Descent of mudflow happened in Kyrgyzstan

Ceaseless downpours caused descent of flow in the south-west of Kyrgyzstan in Kyzyl-Kiya city. A state of emergency has been declared in the city.

As mir24 reports, more than 50 houses in the city are damaged, and instead of streets there are stormy rivers of mud flows.Roads and bridges need capital repairs after element.

Dozens of agricultural land hectares are covered with a thick layer of mud.As Almaz Asanov, the chief of the Main Civil Protection Department of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Kyrgyzstan, said: “Mudflows have passed through 12 streets in the territory of the city of Kyzyl-Kiya.

Six social facilities and 65 residential buildings were damaged.” In the region, more than a hundred rescuers are working to eliminate the consequences of mudflows.

The authorities promised monetary compensation to all suffered. It is noted that as per the meteorologists’ forecast, it will rain again in the coming days.
