1.President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov met with Vice President and Deputy Prime Minister of the UAE Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan.During the negotiations, the parties identified key areas for further strengthening the strategic partnership between the two countries.
The head of Turkmenistan noted with satisfaction the traditionally friendly nature of relations with the UAE, which are steadily developing in both bilateral and multilateral formats.The Vice President of the UAE conveyed greetings from the leadership of his country and emphasized the importance of developing cooperation with Turkmenistan as a reliable partner.
2. The National Leader of the Turkmen people, head of the Halk Maslahaty Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov sent a congratulatory letter to the President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev, in which he expressed gratitude for the decision to celebrate the 300th anniversary of the outstanding Turkmen poet and thinker Magtymguly Fragi in the country.
3.Chairman of the Mejlis of Turkmenistan Dunyagozel Gulmanova held negotiations with the Japanese parliamentary delegation led by the Secretary General of the Japanese-Turkmen Interparliamentary Friendship Group, member of the House of Councilors of Japan, Shimpei Matsushita.
During the meeting in Japan, the parties emphasized the importance of strengthening inter-parliamentary ties for the development of relations between the two countries.Parliamentarians discussed improving the work of friendship groups, establishing contacts between relevant committees and organizing mutual visits.
4.The Ambassador of Turkmenistan to Armenia Muhammetgeldy Ayazov gave a lecture to students of the Faculty of Oriental Studies of Yerevan State University.The event was dedicated to the 300th anniversary of the outstanding Turkmen poet and thinker Magtymguly Fragi.
The ambassador said that Magtymguly’s ideas underlie the concept of neutrality and modern foreign policy of Turkmenistan.In his works, the classic called for the unity of peoples, respect for traditions and spiritual values.
5.The international scholarship program Türkiye Scholarships has extended the deadline for submitting applications for scholarships for citizens of Turkmenistan and other countries wishing to study at universities in Türkiye.
According to the program’s press service, applicants can now submit documents for scholarships until February 25, 2024 inclusive.The extension of the deadline for accepting documents is intended to provide an opportunity for more talented students from all over the world to receive a quality education in Türkiye.
Last year, more than 100 thousand applications for participation in the program were received from representatives of 163 countries, including citizens of Turkmenistan.
6.Scientists from the Magtymguly Institute of Language, Literature and National Manuscripts of the Academy of Sciences of Turkmenistan brought from a scientific trip to India electronic copies of 69 manuscripts that are of great value for the study of the history and culture of the Turkmen people.
As a result of working with the collections of leading libraries and museums in India, Turkmen scientists were able to discover many previously unknown historical documents, literary works and other written sources in Turkmenistan that are directly related to the past of the Turkmen people.

7.In one of the US zoos, a 36-year-old alligator named Thibodeaux became a patient of emergency surgery.The reason for this was 70 coins that visitors threw into his enclosure.
