1. President Serdar Berdimuhamedov held a working meeting on the progress of seasonal agricultural work. The head of state emphasized the need for timely and high-quality implementation of all agrotechnical requirements to obtain a rich harvest. The President also instructed the velayat hyakims to ensure strict control over the proper operation of subordinate institutions and enterprises.
2.The Permanent Representative of Turkmenistan to the UN Office in Geneva, Vepa Hajiyev, met with the Director General of the World Health Organization.The agenda included current issues of bilateral cooperation and its prospects in the healthcare sector.
The participation of the Turkmen delegation in the upcoming 77th session of the World Health Assembly, which will be held in Geneva from May 27 to June 1, was also discussed.
3. Chairman of the Government of the Russian Federation Mikhail Mishustin will take part in a meeting of the Council of Heads of Government of the CIS in Ashgabat on May 24. During the meeting, current issues of trade and economic cooperation in the CIS will be discussed.
4. Turkmenistan will take part in the International Tourism Exhibition “Salam Osh” in Kyrgyzstan. The exhibition will become an effective business platform for establishing business contacts, finding partners and promoting the tourism potential of the region. It will be attended by major players in the tourism industry, international organizations and foreign guests.
5.On May 17-18, Turkmenistan will host the International Conference of Ministers of Culture dedicated to the 300th anniversary of Magtymguly Fragi.According to the official program, on the evening of May 17, the grand opening of the cultural and park complex “Magtymguly Fragi” and a 60-meter-high monument to the poet will take place in the south of Ashgabat.
Conference participants will attend this celebration, during which a light show, fireworks, concert performances and other festive events are planned.

6. As a result of the collapse of a giant billboard in the Indian city of Mumbai died 14 people and 74 were injured. The incident took place in Ghatkopar district. Due to strong winds, a 30-meter structure fell onto residential buildings and a gas station. Rescue operations are underway at the scene.
