Eco-activists carried out cleaning work near the famous gas crater in the Karakum Desert

In order to prevent the negative impact of household waste on the environment, the Travel Agency Ovadan Syyahat has carried out activity to clean up the area adjacent to the gas crater Shine of Karakum (Darvaza).

During the eco-campaign with the participation of about 60 people, four tons of household waste were collected, which were distributed into special containers provided by the Nature Conservation Society of Turkmenistan.

According to the plan, Ovadan Syyahat intends to carry on work to collect not only waste around the crater, but also the garbage accumulated along the Ashgabat-Darvaza highway, as well as at other tourist destinations.

Employees of the company regularly conduct explanatory work among tourists visiting the crater about the need to comply with the rules of environmental legislation of Turkmenistan.
