The opening ceremony of the Center of International Ahalteke Horse Association and International Association Türkmen alabaý itleri has been held in the capital.On the same day, regular session of International Association Türkmen alabaý itleri timed to Turkmen Shepherd Dog Holiday, which according to relative Order of the head of the state would be annually observed on the same day with National Turkmen Horse Holiday on the last Sunday of April, has taken place.
The Speaker of the Mejlis of National Assembly, Deputy Chairman of the People’s Council of National Assembly, Deputy Chairmen of the Cabinet of Ministers, heads of military and law enforcement agencies, ministries and profile departments, public organizations, mass media, head of the administration of Ashgabat took part in the opening ceremony of the Center of International Ahalteke Horse Association and International Association Türkmen alabaý itleri.
In solemn atmosphere, Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers, head of International Ahalteke Horse Association and International Association Türkmen alabaý itleri Serdar Berdimuhamedov has cut a traditional ribbon new profile facility was opened.
Continuing the ceremony, the participants have looked around the infrastructure and provision of the Center, conditions made in this place for effective work of specialists and organization of various events.
The ground floor of the building accommodates the Museum, which exposition includes original sculptures and pictures of ahalteke horses outstanding representatives of this legendary, world famous breed, and Turkmen shepherd dogs as well as thematic carpets.
The specialist presented substantial information about museum values to the guests. Special place in the exposition is occupied by the carpet with weaved poem of President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov Türkmen alabaýy.
In addition, beautiful samples of horse decorations indicating unlimited love of Turkmen people to their horses and tender attitude to them.The traditions to decorate the horses, which originated in the ancient time, have remained in national culture until our day being implemented in works of modern talented jewelers.
In old times, such decoration have also performed protective function and served as amulet.
Along with this, samples of saddles for races as well as celebration decoration of the horses, to which horse coaches approach with big responsibility, were also demonstrated.
Video capturing a remarkable moment when President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov presented Vepaly, a cub of Turkmen shepherd dog to President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin in 2017 has been demonstrated to the participants of the ceremony on special monitor installed in the Museum.
The head of the state noted back then that Turkmen dogs are loyal friends of Turkmen people from the old days. It is not occasionally Vepaly, the alabay was selected as a symbol of the V Asian Indoor and Martial Art Games, which were held in Ashgabat in September 2017.
This gift to President Vladimir Putin symbolizes the commitment to traditions of centuries-old Turkmen Russian friendship and trustful personal relations between the heads of two states.

It includes books dedicated ahalteke horses and Turkmen shepherd dogs such as “Ahalteke horse Our Pride and Glory”, “Fast Run of Horse”, “Horse Symbol of Loyalty and Happiness”, “Turkmen Shepherd Dog”.
Embodying unbreakable tie of times and generation, these works of the head of the state narrate about unique historical and cultural heritage of Turkmen people.
It is worth to mention that the library has very big book collection. It is fully computerized, which provides users with wide access to electronic library resources, profile scientific and methodological literature. It also has periodic printing media dedicated to ahalteke horses and dogs.
Having three languages, electronic website of the library is updated with information on ahalteke horses and Turkmen shepherd dogs, which images are also resembled in folklore, on daily basis. Thus, different legends from the book of the head of the state are regularly published on the webpages of the site.
Further, the participants of the event went on the second floor of the building and looked around the offices of the Center, which are equipped with all necessary hardware for efficient activity of personnel, who have computers and other office equipment at their disposal.
The conference hall and specialized premises of the Center have all conditions for conducting sessions, other events, meeting and international forums including on online format. Optimum conditions for productive work of participants of events using advanced technologies are also provided in this place.
After the opening ceremony of the Center, Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers, Head of International Ahalteke Equestrian Association and International Association Türkmen alabaý itleri Serdar Berdimuhamedov has left a note in the Book of Honorary Guests.

Announcing the agenda of the forum, the head of the Association has noted that organization issues related to activity of this international organization would be reviewed at the session.
In addition, new members will be admitted and best horse breeders and cynologists of the country will be awarded with state awards.The place and date of the next session of International Association Türkmen alabaý itleri will be determined, future objectives will be discussed and relative decisions will be made.
Continuing his speech, S. Berdimuhamedov said that National Turkmen Horse Holiday and Turkmen Shepherd Dog Holiday are celebrated on the same day for the first time.
Turkmen shepherd dogs and ahalteke horses as well as Turkmen carpets are our pride and glory, living legends, national values. Turkmen dogs are distinguished with brave, loyalty to the owner, for which they are loved and appreciated all over the world.
At present time, large-scale work has been expanded in the country at the initiative of the head of the state for glorifying national heritage Turkmen dogs, their protection and breeding, preservation of livestock including on international level. All conditions have been made for scientific study of the history of this breed and its special features.
International Association Türkmen alabaý itleri has been founded in the country for consolidation of efforts of specialists involved in breeding and training of Turkmen shepherd dogs.Number of members of this competent association has been significantly increased for the short period.
Foreign dog specialists have also joined the organization.At present time, representatives of more than 11 countries, more than 190 legal entities and individuals sre the members of the Association.
Honorary titles Türkmenistanyň halk itşynasy and Türkmenistanyň at gazanan itşynasy has been established with support of President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov for protection and development of Turkmen dog breeding art.
In addition, double celebration National Turkmen Horse Holiday and Turkmen Shepherd Dog Holiday will be celebrated every year on the last Sunday of April according to the Order of Turkmen leader.
In addition, international context “Best Turkmen Shepherd Dog of the Year” will be held every year in April. It was decided to organize the contest of art works for best image of Turkmen dog in visual, decorative and applied arts, printing media, photos, on TV channels, between carpet makers, sculptors, photographers, publishing personnel and TV operators.
Having continued, Serdar Berdimuhamedov has presented number of the utmost objectives of International AssociationTürkmen alabaý itleri related to breeding, preservation of purity, popularization of this breed in the world.
It includes breeding and increment of the livestock of the dogs in the centers opened in the regions and Ashgabat, scientifically based breeding and pedigree work, organization of exhibition and contests of Turkmen dogs in the country and abroad.
It was highlighted that it is necessary to popularize unique features of this breed, the character and dedication to the owner in the world. In this context, establishment and support of contact, beneficial cooperation with foreign colleagues specialized in this sphere are the main objectives of the Association.
Coming over the items of the agenda, S.Berdimuhamedov proposed to make amendments of the Charter of the organization.Thus, the Chairman of the Association will be the President and Deputy Chairman of the Association its Vice-premier as well as to establish medal Ýylyň türkmen edermen alabaýy for award of the winner of international contest organized by International Association Türkmen alabaý itleri.
After the voting, the participants of the forum have unanimously supported these proposals.

Receiving deserved awards, the participants of the event expressed gratitude to the President of Turkmenistan for appreciation of their work assuring that they would continue making significant input to this noble affair.

Mammedova has read out the Order of the President of Turkmenistan on award of Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan, Chairman of the Supreme Control Chamber, head of International Ahaltke Equestrian Association and International Association Türkmen alabaý itleri Serdar Berdimuhamedov with honorary title Türkmenistanyň at gazanan itşynasy.
The insignia and identification were presented to the head of the Association under applauses of the participants of the forum.
Having expressed gratitude to the President of Turkmenistan for high appreciation of his activity, S. Berdimuhamedov highlighted that International Association Türkmen alabaý itleri founded at the initiative of the head of the state is to support the spread of glory of Turkmen shepherd dogs, which are national pride and heritage.

Book “Turkmen Alabay” written by the head of the state is used as a guide in study and restoration and popularization of this breed. Numerous archaeological findings made during excavations of famous historical and cultural monuments as well as ancient manuscripts indicate the old age and origin of the breed, the spokesman said.
It is mentioned in the book that national practice in breeding of Turkmen dogs and special methods deserve to be included to the UNESCO Intangible Cultural Human Heritage List.
In the result of scientific studies made recently, statuettes of Turkmen dog dated by antic period have been discovered on the territory of ancient settlement Paryzdepe located nearby Ashgabat.
During excavation of historical and cultural monument Shehrislam in Baherden district, Ahal Region, the foot prints of Turkmen dog have been found on clay brick, which is dated by the epoch of the Great Seljouks, and fragments of jug with Tazy guýruk ornament at Shahrihaybar Monument in Gyoktepe district.
Statuette of Turkmen dog dated by X century has been discovered in Yasydepe, Charjew district, Lebap Region.
In addition, scientific study of Güjük yzy ornament, which is used in Turkmen carpet making, is actively studied. This information is presented in the first release of magazine Türkmeniň nusgalyk alabaýy published by International Association Türkmen alabaý itleri.
Another ethnographic study related to Turkmen dogs has been conducted and new scientific discoveries have been made.To be more precise, historical traces of one of ancient ornaments, which is met in Turkmen carpet making and It ýatak spinning skill.
It was found out that the most ancient sample of this unique ornament can be found on the wall of praying room discovered in Pessejikdepe in Gyoktepe.
As is known, archaeological monument Pessejikdepe is related to Jeytun Culture in the VII V centuries BC. It is famous with its wall paintings. Similar pictures of various hunting are also met in ancient settlement Chatalguyuk in Turkey. At the same time, the picture in Pessejikdepe is brighter and older.

Next, Head of the Society of Caucasian Dogs from the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Gazimzade has made video conference message. Addressing the participants of the session, he highlighted the importance of works for protection of national heritage in Turkmenistan on the government level.
