Exhibition Dedicated to the 35th Anniversary of Turkmenistan’s Independence Opens in Bucharest

On the 9th of June 2026, the National Museum of the Romanian Peasants in Bucharest hosted the opening of the cultural exhibition “Turkmenistan: 35 Years of Independence A Celebration of Heritage and Culture”, organized by the Embassy of Turkmenistan in Romania.

About this reports MFA of Turkmenistan.The event was held as part of the celebrations marking the 35th anniversary of Turkmenistan’s Independence and under the motto of 2026, “Independent, permanently neutral Turkmenistan homeland of purposeful heavenly horses”.

Representatives of the diplomatic corps, government institutions, academic and cultural circles, the business community, Turkmen students, and media representatives attended the opening ceremony.The speakers highlighted Turkmenistan’s efforts aimed at preserving national cultural heritage, promoting international humanitarian cooperation, and strengthening intercultural dialogue.

The exhibition featured traditional carpets, examples of decorative and applied arts, national costumes and jewelry, photographs, and publications showcasing the achievements of independent and neutral Turkmenistan.The exhibition served as a vivid reflection of the rich cultural heritage of the Turkmen people and their contribution to universal spiritual values.
