Expansion of Gurtly Residential Complex With 46 New Residential Buildings

During a regular meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers on Friday, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov signed a Decree to authorise the construction of 30 four-storey residential buildings with 40 flats each and 16 four-storey residential buildings with 68 flats each in the Gurtly residential complex of Ashgabat city.

A secondary school for 720 pupils, a kindergarten for 320 children, a park, access and internal motor roads, and a water supply and sewerage system will be built within the framework of this project in the residential complex, the official Turkmen media reports.

According to the document, the administration of Ashgabat city is authorised to conclude contracts with local construction enterprises to design and develop the residential complex with landscaping of the adjacent territories.

Construction should begin in November 2023, and all facilities, structures and motorways should be fully ready for operation by September 2026.

Furthermore, during the meeting, the Chairman of the Mejlis, Dunyagozel Gulmanova, provided information about the Mejlis resolution titled "On Making Changes in the Administrative Territory of Arkadag City."

The government meeting encompassed a summary of the economy sectors' performance for the first ten months of the current year, a review of various document drafts, and discussions on the priority tasks pertaining to the country's socio-economic development.
