Fluminense reached the final of the FIFA Club World Cup for the first time

Brazilian Fluminense defeated Egyptian Al Ahly in the semi-finals of the FIFA Club World Cup in Saudi Arabia. The match ended with a score of 2:0.

The goals for Fluminense were scored by John Arias (71st minute, penalty) and John Kennedy (90).

In the final, Fluminense will face the winner of the match between the English Manchester City and the Japanese Urawa Red Diamonds, which will take place on December 19. The decisive meeting is scheduled for December 22.

This is Fluminense's first appearance in the final of the Club World Cup. In 2023, the Brazilian team won the Copa Libertadores, the most prestigious club tournament in South America, for the first time.
